Umat Katolik, sebaliknya, malah ter-Jawa-kan dengan sebutan “Romo”. Mungkin hanya di Indonesia Timur seorang pastor Katolik dipanggil “Pastor”? Yang jelas, istilah “Father” belum populer di negeri ini. “Pater” juga mulai punah.
Christ Cathedral. Ini nama sebuah gedung Gereja Protestan, bukan katedral (dalam pengertian Katolik). Jadi lengkapnya, “Christ Cathedral Church”. Agak redundant (mubazir), sih, tapi ya, memang namanya seperti itu.
Had Jesus not risen from death, our faith of salvation would have been in the vain hope. We are grateful, then, that his death and resurrection are historical facts, thereby drawing more than a billion people to believe in him. This is a miracle. This is the crux of our faith. This is Easter.
